The Blocking and Attacking Camp is designed for athletes who are already proficient in these skills and are looking to elevate their performance. This in-depth session focuses on two of important skills for pin hitters and middle blockers. Campers will be separated by age, skill level, and experience to allow for a consistent level of competition on each court. Players can expect advanced instruction focused on attacking fundamentals, including arm swing mechanics, approach tempo, and a variety of scoring options/shots. The blocking training will emphasize a range of blocking techniques, including swing blocking and proper hand position. The session will incorporate competitive, skill-adjusted drills designed to help learn and grow. Instruction will be provided by VCU coaching staff and current players. Camps are open to both boys and girls, and boys should expect to play on a net set to women’s height.

Spectator/Parking: Spectators allowed – Public parking is located in the Broad Street Parking Deck for a fee. Street parking around the Siegel Center is available. Please be aware of parking signs and meters. More parking information will be sent out through email.
Optional ADD-ON for purchase during the online registration: Purchase a ticket voucher for one admission to any fall 2026 VCU volleyball match – $5
Camp Store: Campers will receive a Camp T-shirt upon arrival and can expect to browse the Team Store for additional VCU gear during check-in and check-out.
Lunch: Lunch is not included – If a camper participates in more than one camp with us, please pack lunch and snacks OR you can order lunch through our sponsor this year (to be announced).
Refund Policy: Refunds will only be given with written notice from a physician stating that the athlete is physically unable to participate in the camp. All approved refunds will incur a $30 administration fee which will be deducted from your refund amount. Refunds will not be given within 48 hours of the camp.
